Here's a sample!

I work with a woman who is able to express love freely. She constantly goes out of her way to find something kind to do for others. When I was a new teacher in that building, she made it a point to come to my classroom and say something nice each and every day for the entire first year I was there.

As I sit at my desk grading artwork, I'll sometimes hear her voice come into my room from hers next door. "I love you," she'll call to someone. "I love you too," the reply will come from down the hall or within another classroom. It doesn't matter who it is, coworkers, students, and custodians. She expresses her love freely, bestowing it as though it was commonplace to do so, although it is often a surprise to the receiver.

She left a message on my answering machine at home. "I love you," she said at the end. My daughter looked at me quizzically. "What's with her, Mom?" she asked.

I laughed. "Nothing's with her. She just loves everybody and lets them know it."

Inside, I envy this woman's ability to verbally express her feelings. I know the importance of showing love but, like most people, I rarely say the words to friends and coworkers. I tend to show it in ways such as listening to problems, baking treats for everyone or lending a helping hand. I tend to "say it with flowers" instead of just say it.

I get caught up in the fear. What if I said it and there was no response? What if the person I said it to turned away or, reacted negatively? Worse still, what if I didn't say it to someone and they died without ever having heard me say it? I become stuck, not knowing which way to turn. I become mired in my decision-making instead of allowing love to be expressed through me.

The Angels said this:

Love. That is what God says now to you. Be filled with love and with the spirit of truth and of holiness. Love each and every person in each and every interaction each and every moment. That is what will prepare you for your work in the highest good.

1. Say "I love you" out loud to a different person each day. What was the reaction? How did it make you feel to do this exercise? Give yourself a big hug and know your Angel applauds you.

2. Say "I love you" to your Angel. What is the reaction? Write whatever you think, feel or know as a result of this exercise in your journal.
