Dancing Along the Yellow Brick Road

During Angel Readings people quite typically ask the Angels what their life's work is and what happy path they should take to earn money. The Angels will give their answer and often, the person having the reading will say, "Oh, I used to love doing that but I never trusted that I could make any money at it."
This month, the Angels of Abundance™ tell us more about using our gifts and talents to support ourselves financially. Much of this writing came about as a result of my own inability to remain on my own chosen path. I tend to find the path, walk it and then become afraid because I can't see for sure what's beyond the next curve. I literally, run away from the gift of self employment that I've been given and back to the safety of a "real job," creating havoc in the process. It makes me crazy but I admit it, that's my pattern. Here's what they have to say about it.

When you rummaged through the Treasure Chest of gifts and talents you have been given you discarded many of the gifts. You looked at them and recalled someone else telling you they were not worth anything and that you could never successfully use them for gain.
Did you know this? You are able to call those discarded gifts back? They did not leave you or desert you simply because you chose them not. Remember this, they choose you in the first place. They are within the very makeup and construction of your being. You can be the embodiment of those gifts simply and easily for they are already you.
You have gone off to learn much. Don't believe for even a moment that there is anything you lack in order to take your next steps. You know enough and it is not a race that you are running for this work is linked with the eternal. It is not a race against time or for money. It is more the opening of a flower. It is love itself speaking within you and that is the important thing. The love is the current you can jump on the back of and take an amazing ride on. Love is that which shall bring you from here to wherever it is you want to go. Wherever you are, for as long as you remain true to the calling of your inner being, you shall be on your right path.
The stage is set for us to show you your grandeur. Now is the time for you to step into the fullness of your gifts and talents. Now is the time. We told you this before and you were afraid and hung onto the old, trying to change it and make it work and it dissolved into a cesspool that dragged at your spirit and stunk up your air.
Heed our words. Now is the time. Make your plans. Commune in love with your own heart and love shall guide you and tell you what to do and where to go. Follow that "Yellow Brick Road" you've painted on your own Treasure Map.
Your heart has served its purpose nobly. It has, as you followed it, propelled you so easily and so clearly into and through life. It has brought you beyond the surface and into the deepest depths of your being which you have thoroughly explored. Your work situation now is a result of that bold exploration. Right now you are deep sea diving for Treasure. You have spent you time in the familiar, yet comfortable Cave of Creation. This now, this time of your life is the lake the Goddess showed you. You have willed yourself to enter it and gone into what appeared to be you own underworld once you got there. You asked repeatedly to become self employed and you dove into the lake. Once there, you panicked and couldn't breathe and found yourself without an air supply. You forgot that the lake is not made of water. You forgot that the lake is of the energy of God. Why panic?
We stand alongside you with the breathing tube and yet, you struggle. You know you can breathe in the liquid energy and not only survive, but thrive and still, you struggle to go back to the "land" of regular employment.
You fear that there is no escape. You fear that we have snared you and entrapped you. You fear that you are enchanted. You view us as though we are as the mermaids of legend. You doubt our words; you throw blocks up before you and hide in the flotsam and jetsam you have drawn down with you. You distract yourself on purpose. You find yourself in far deeper than you ever thought you'd be-in way over your head.
We tell you this. The very place you are in shall sustain you. Take a good draught of breath of the place you are in. What happened? Did you fall down dead? Did your finances explode? We tell you-you hope for Caves of Treasure yet you doubt you'll find them. You have asked our guidance and yet doubt and worry that you'll be lead astray. You fight the urge to climb instantly back to the surface and find a job but you'd only get the bends if you did that. You've done it before and it wasn't happy or healthy for you.
Only your perception tells you these things. It is your brain that tells you things such as this, not your heart. You have tried the surfacing and it hasn't worked. Try your own depths now for it is yourself you run from this time. Will you choose to run from yourself?
You, upon further exploration, shall not find a person who will have nothing of substance to plumb. You shall find a place of such energy, such creation, such power that all your efforts up until now shall be seen as a lower wattage; a stepped down, minor version of yourself.
Your soul is built to carry higher wattage. You are part of the generator, not a 40 watt bulb. You shall, should you choose to continue forward into the depths of your very being which love created, succeed. What say you? We say that love is. Love always is.
And so it is.

Activities for Dancing Along Your Yellow Brick Road
Superb teachers that they are, The Angels of Abundance often give suggestions and activities designed to engage my body and mind with the soul nourishing conversations we have. The triad is body, mind and soul and all are interconnected and should remain balanced as much as possible.
They love to have us up off our comfortable seats and doing. They love to see us taking action steps to make our outer, as well as inner world a richer, better place for others
and ourselves
Enjoy these activities. After you answer each of the questions mentally, make a sincere effort to take the action steps that will bring something better into existence for yourself first. Then share the new essence of yourself with others.
- Remember When- Take a pad of paper and your pen and list any and every activity you enjoyed doing when you were a child. These will probably range from the simple and common (ex.-coloring) to the more complex (ex.-baking cookies and giving surprise gifts of them to my friends.
- Conjure up the Memory- Go into meditation and ask your Angels to help you remember when you last laid down on the grass and looked at the clouds. As you connect with the memory, you'll better remember what it was you wanted to be when you grew up.
- Make Another List. This time, list the activities you love to do now as an adult. Put a star next to the ones you are especially fond of doing.
- Face the Music-Take the lists you made in #1 and #4 and compare them to the work you're dong now to earn you living. How many of the starred activities show up in your present career?
- Daydream-What type of business could you create that would use your starred activities?
- Start Your Engine- Do one thing that brings you a step closer to turning the activities you love to do into gainful employment. In my example from activity 1, I could send flyers out saying I'll bake personalized cookies you can buy from me to give to people as gifts.
