"One Grecian Urn"

In February, our topic is love.  Enjoy this channeling for it just might surprise you!

As you awaken once again to your gifts and talents you are as the Sleeping Beauty awakening. She awakens, not to the handsome prince, but to the love that she is. Her I AM statement is, "I Am Love. I Am awake, aware, lusty, beautiful and willing to allow love to work through me." That is her source of abundance. That is her willingness and openness to her own inner self, to the reality of whom she really is.

And, as you awaken this time, you look into the Magic Mirror that hangs on the wall of the Cave of Creation and see the beginnings of the Crone. Joyfully, instead of seeing the wrinkles around your eyes and the grey in your hair, you sense the magic now fully awakened within you.

When you stand in front of the Magic Mirror, gazing at your image, you do not ask, "Who's the fairest of them all?" You ask to see the great rivers of love and truth and creativity that you embody. You ask to be shown the links between you and all that is.  You ask to see heaven revealed. 

You feel deep satisfaction as you know this vision will enable you to feel more alive, awake and aware than you have ever felt before. You see the blossoming of your time as a wise woman and your heart rejoices once again at being you.

You look to see your Angel, your constant companion. He stands a little to the left of you.  On his head, he wears a wreath of myrtle and cassia, the leaves entwined with narrow threads of golden light which emit lines of radiance. You breathe in the peppery, cinnamon fragrance of the leaves and feel your body relax. In his hand, he holds the pearl tiara that the Sea Goddess gave to you. It too has been entwined with the beautiful leaves and flowers.

You close your eyes and focus on the river of love that flows deep within you. You feel the tiara being placed upon your head and you see the Angels waving to you from the opposite shore of the great river. Instantly, you join them, knowing you have already taken that journey of enlightenment that taught you how to reach them and can do so now in any instant you wish. 

You and the Angels again begin the dance of joy, this time in happiness at this, your next step of growth and reawakening. You are happy to see that the other women and many men as well have joined in. They all wear their crowns of living leaves entwined with light. They all are enrobed in flowing gowns of light and you laugh to yourself when you realize you have chosen to view the "One Grecian Urn" scene from the musical "The Music Man" as a vehicle that furthers your understanding.

In this scene in the 1962 movie starring Robert Preston and Shirley Jones, the middle aged ladies of town headed by the mayor's wife, Mrs. Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn, design a living tableau to enact on the bandstand at the town's celebration. The women wear wreaths upon their heads and are dressed in flowing white robes.

Mrs. Shinn declares, "One Grecian urn," and the ladies strike their poses. They struggle, of course from the difficulty of holding the position, the length of their costumes and the stiffness of their own middle aged bodies. The desire to move with grace and elegance is there, but they cannot quite achieve the enactment of it. They teeter and the effect is far from the classical beauty of Grecian art although your heart goes out to them as you view the scene.

You mentally return to your place with the Angels on the further shore. You see the people; each joyfully struggling with their humanity, as the ladies auxiliary did in the movie scene,  but wearing their crowns of light. Then, your eyes are opened and for the first time, you notice the many ways that the Angels assist.

Each person there is becoming accustomed to living their lives through the power of the living light that flows within them like the great river they stand beside yet; they must do so within the confines of the human body they live within. The Angels teach them to simply allow the flow of light through all parts of the unification of body, mind and soul that each truly is.  They teach the people how to fill all the selves that they are, particularly the places of emotional hurt, physical pain or disease with the living light.

Suddenly, you see that they no longer move with the comic stiffness of the ladies of River City, Iowa but with the grace and elegance of those who, in their hearts are residents of the farther shore.

You see your Angel smile at your renewed understanding as you, stiffly at first, but with quickly spreading ease and mobility, join in the dance. He whispers into your ear, "One Grecian urn," and you begin to laugh knowing that you too often teeter on the edge of your foot instead of balancing securely. He catches you up in a mighty hug and swings you around. He sets you down and you try again, filled with confidence that he is always there, ready to assist and that you shall never fall.  He tells you that he loves you for love is. Love always is. And so it is.

Activities for Reawakening

Superb teachers that they are, The Angels of Abundance often give suggestions and activities designed to engage my body and mind with the soul nourishing conversations we have. The triad is body, mind and soul and all are interconnected and should remain balanced as much as possible.

They love to have us up off our comfortable seats and doing. They love to see us taking action steps to make our outer, as well as inner world a richer, better place for others and ourselves.

Enjoy these activities. After you answer each of the questions mentally, make a sincere effort to take the action steps that will bring something better into existence for yourself first. Then share the new essence of yourself with others
