Candy, Cookies and Thieves of the Heart

During Angelic Abundance® Angel Readings, people will often ask for information about someone in particular who is an object of their affection. They tell of the often elaborate plans they've put in place in an attempt to "steal his heart away." Their tales are touching and often entertaining and I am reminded of the plots of various Jane Austen novels. "I just know he's my soul mate!" resounds in ringing and quite hopeful tones.
Will these "thieves of the heart" succeed in their quests? What do the Angels have to say about it?

Pure love is symbolized and we use the symbols of love like a secret code to signal our interest in another. Hearts, flowers, gemstone encrusted jewelry, boxes filled with candy tied with lace ribbon and candle lit dinners in fancy restaurants are all sold as tokens of true love. Even the shape of a chocolate drop or "kiss" has become known all over the world as a symbol of love. Flowers have certain meanings assigned to them and in Victorian times it was possible for the recipient of a bouquet to read the message not written but carried in the flowers themselves.
While at the mall, you can stand at the counter in the Godiva candy shop and ask for a free sample. As you allow the beautifully rich chocolate to melt on your tongue you can almost feel the love that went into making it. Because it was freely given, you are well able to appreciate the gift and it becomes easy to desire another.
To give a cookie is to give a token of love and affection. A home baked cookie has a far greater meaning than one from a package. Marketers strive to instill the image of "home baked goodness" into the packages of cookies they sell.
One lady would make heart shaped cookies covered with a candy glaze. She'd put them into white boxes which she decorated with ribbons and flowers. She gave them to her friends as tokens of her affection. It wasn't until many years later that she heard from one particular friend that she loved receiving the gift but disliked that particular type of cookie. The friend loved the gift and the attention as well as the giver, but disliked the form the affection was presented in.
Another lady made a batch of cookies which she put into a hand decorated container. While at work, she left the container in a bag on the floor of her car, thinking it would be hidden. During her shift, thieves smashed the window and stole the bag.
The thief did not know he was stealing cookies, but broke into the car because of his "want" to steal the love and affection the wrapped gift he saw represented. He forcefully stole a gift not intended for him and damaged property that belonged to another in doing so. He felt he needed to take possession of whatever was in the package for no other reason than that he felt the lack of it.
Where do you symbolically or literally "break in" to provide yourself with love and affection? When you have a crush on someone, do you try to infiltrate their life? Do you invade their personal space and cross their boundaries? Do you ask too much of them or demand too much of their time? In your desire to have a certain person love you, what do you do to gain their attention and affection? Do you seek to break any relationships that person may have with others in order to instill yourself in their stead? Do you take instead of give? Do you operate from a place of want like the thief did?
Oprah once mentioned on her show that people send letters to her on a continuous basis. They want to be her pen-pal and best friend because of her fame and position. She said they'd become very upset when she didn't write back more than once. She knew they were asking for love and affection from her but felt she couldn't send it to each person on a one to one basis. Do you treat people as celebrities and push yourself onto them?
One lady recently sent an email. "I feel I have found my soul mate but he keeps me at arm's length, why is this?" Apparently, she'd decided he was "the one" but he wasn't of similar heart. I doubt he even really knew her although she felt he was someone who could fill her empty soul.
When you meet someone and simply decide he or she is "the one" it sometimes leads to romantic love but it sometimes does not.
When your heart is really open and the other's heart is open as well, you can meet that person on a heart-to-heart level. The connection provides a safe place through which to structure a real relationship. Open hearts have the power to touch other open hearts. There's a connection that occurs between people of like heart. Seek to find those of like heart first instead of focusing your commitment and undying attention on just anyone you happen to feel strong attraction for.
When your heart is open to pure love, pure love is that which you'll receive. Love's lessons come to you through your heart. The love allows you to open your heart's door and receive the love that God sends to you. Once you receive love from God you'll no longer need to pursue another and steal it from them. You'll already be filled and able to share from your position of fullness instead of a position of want. Love will then pour out of you and you'll easily attract the one ready to receive it from you.
We tell you this in great love and compassion for love is. Love always is. And so it is.
