Cabana Boys

When asked what I want to create, one of my more common, solidly in the physical realm, off the cuff replies is, "A Cabana Boy." I long, sometimes, for someone to magically see to my every unspoken whim, to facilitate my lying on a beach somewhere sunny, to massage my feet and bring cocktails to me.
I envision someone to fetch for me, do for me, go for me, lift heavy burdens and perhaps, even leap tall buildings in a single bound if I have a mind for them to.
That Angels are like this imaginary Cabana Boy is a humorous concept, yet I've heard many describe their interactions with their Angels as though they were. They want a new job, so they tell the Angel to bring them one. They want to spy on another person, so they tell the Angel to give them a peek. They want to produce a product, write a book, get rich, whatever and they tell their Angel to make it all happen.
So, just who is the creator then? Just how did the idea of the Angel playing the role of slave come about?

You are right; creativity does begin in the mind of one working in tandem with the spiritual realm. Yet, that one often has others carry the idea forward to fruition. Architects design and others actually build, farmers till the soil and sow the seeds but the plant does the growing. Symphonies are written by one but must be played by many. A choreographer builds the step progression that tells the story, but dancers bring the story to life.
Inventing, designing, or conceiving in the mental realm and passing it along to the physical realm seems to be the way one creates while on earth. Yes, some prefer to do it all themselves, but it is ok to create and then allow others to carry the creative process forward to bear fruit. If you leave the idea or thought in the mental and don't ever bring it into the physical, nothing tangible would ever be made. The flow of the idea passes from the one to the many.
When you spoke of the Cabana Boy you spoke of him as an extension of yourself. You made no mention of giving any sort of remuneration to him at all. Now, it's not that Angels need to be paid for the constant love; protection and guidance they give so don't think we are saying that. An Angel's love is freely given. But is an Angel a slave? If not, what does a person do to compensate the Angel?
Creativity really begins when the mental realm works in tandem with the spiritual realm and the flow of it progresses from the spiritual to the mental and then to the physical. When the mental realm works by itself and refuses to consult the spiritual, the person realizes there is something missing from the creative process. They think they know how to create what they want but really don't. Then they become frustrated or lazy. Sensing the power that Angels have, displaying no real knowledge of the creative process, and refusing to quiet themselves and look within their beings, they begin to give orders.
They look at their list of wants as though it is a restaurant menu and they snap their fingers. When the Angel, out of great love, comes running, the person says, "Give me ________(fill in the blank)" and continues to sit. How is the Angel to manipulate the physical realm so that you get what you want? Here's a "news flash" for you; you are the one with the body!
Now, we hear many of you saying that you would never be that rude. We gently ask you to review a few of the times you asked us for something. Rudeness is not the issue and we are not making it the issue. Asking for something and refusing to take part in its creation is.
So, work in tandem with us. We'll do all we can to guide you and give you information you can use to make your wishes come true for love is. Love always is. And so it is...
The Angels of Abundance™
Activities for Creating in Tandem
Superb teachers that they are, The Angels of Abundance often give suggestions and activities designed to engage my body and mind with the soul nourishing conversations we have. The triad is body, mind and soul and all are interconnected and should remain balanced as much as possible.
They love to have us up off our comfortable seats and doing. They love to see us taking action steps to make our outer, as well as inner world a richer, better place for others and ourselves
Enjoy these activities. After you answer each of the questions mentally, make a sincere effort to take the action steps that will bring something better into existence for yourself first. Then share the new essence of yourself with others.
1. Make a list of the things you'd like to create
2 .Invite your Angel to come and be with you.
3. For each thing you wrote on the list, ask your Angel to assist you in making it come true.
4. Under each thing, list the action steps you'll take to begin making it come about. You do not need to know each and every step that will take you from idea to achieved goal right now, but I suggest you decided on 3 action steps that you know will get the process going.
5. Discuss each step with your Angel.
6. Listen for the Angel's response. Write down anything you sense, or hear, or come up with out of the blue.
7. Get off your buns and go do the things you've committed to doing.
